Welcome to The Sola Score. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of thesolascore.com (the “Site”), operated by Grace and Truth Press L.L.C. (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Site. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, you represent that you have parental or guardian consent to use the Site.

2. Accounts

To access certain features (reviewing, rating, creating stacks), you must create an account through our authentication provider (Clerk). You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or engage in abusive behavior.

3. User-Generated Content

You may submit reviews, ratings, stacks, suggested corrections, and media requests (“User Content”). By submitting User Content, you:

• Represent that you own or have the right to submit the content
• Grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute your User Content on the Site
• Acknowledge that your reviews, ratings, profile name, and stacks are publicly visible

We reserve the right to remove User Content that violates these Terms, is offensive, or is otherwise inappropriate at our sole discretion.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Submit false, misleading, or spam content
• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
• Attempt to manipulate ratings or scores
• Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access or collect data from the Site without our written permission
• Impersonate another person or entity
• Upload or transmit viruses, malware, or other harmful code
• Circumvent or interfere with security features of the Site
• Use the Site for any illegal purpose

5. Intellectual Property

The Site's design, code, branding, logos, and editorial content (including Sola Scores and official reviews) are the property of Grace and Truth Press L.L.C. and are protected by copyright and trademark laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without written permission.

Media titles, cover art, and metadata displayed on the Site are used for informational and review purposes under fair use. These remain the property of their respective owners.

6. The Sola Score

The Sola Score is an editorial rating that reflects the assessment of our reviewers. Scores represent opinions, not objective fact. We strive for fair and honest reviews, but all scores are subjective and should not be taken as endorsement or condemnation of any media or its creators.

7. Founding Membership

Founding Membership is a limited designation awarded to early adopters. Founding Member status is non-transferable and is granted at our discretion. Founding Membership does not convey any ownership interest or guarantee of specific features or benefits beyond what is described on the Site at the time of registration.

8. Third-Party Services

The Site integrates with third-party services including Clerk (authentication), Convex (database), and Vercel (hosting). The Site may also link to external platforms (IMDb, Spotify, Apple Music, etc.) for media information. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or availability of these third-party services.

9. Disclaimers

THE SITE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GRACE AND TRUTH PRESS L.L.C., ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SITE, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY.

11. Indemnification

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Gregg County, Texas.
